Many life cycle models have been proposed so far. Each of them has some advantages as well as some disadvantages. A few important and commonly used life cycle models are as follows:
Prescriptive Process Models
- Prescriptive process models were originally proposed to bring order to the chaos of software
- Traditional models have brought a certain amount of useful structure to software engineering work and have provided a reasonably effective road map for software
- Following are prescriptive process models:
- Waterfall model
- Incremental Model
- RAD Model
- Evolutionary Process Model
- Prototype Model
- Spiral Model
- Concurrent Process Model
