It seems that the two concepts: reputation and money have become more closely nowadays. Indeed, a good reputation is more valuable and more important than the money because a good reputation can bring you a lot of money, but if you have a bad reputation, money will never influence your reputation. My father often says that you must work for your “name”, to make it famous, well-known in a positive way, so then your name can work for you and bring you profits. If you have a good reputation people want to work with you, they believe in you and your projects and they are confident that nothing wrong can happen. But if you have a bad reputation nobody will risk investing money, time and their own reputation.
Reputation is probably one of the most important things a person can have in life. Reputation may determine all your life and how successful you may become. Our reputation represents the way others look at us. Your reputation tells who you are, what you stand for and what you believe in. A good reputation is an enviable honor. It cannot be bought, sold, or traded. A good reputation grows. Building a good reputation requires effort, patience, and time that is why it is so valuable.
Reputation is only a candle, of wavering and uncertain flame and easily blown out. Reputation is the result of what we do, what we say and what others say about us.
We have to remember that it takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it.
Money is a means of payment, that helps us to live well and enjoy our life, but we can’t buy our reputation by it. A good reputation is built on character, which is its foundation. If we need to purchase something then money is paramount. If we need a person to trust us then reputation is paramount. To me ones’ reputation is everything, because “Along with success comes a reputation for wisdom.”(Euripides).
In conclusion I would like to say that even if you have a lot of money you will never buy such a thing like reputation. Reputation plays an important role in our life that is why we should do our best to have a good reputation because it is more valuable than money
